ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESOL)

HELPING THOSE LEARNING TO SPEAK ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

Through our English as a Second Language (ESOL) program, we provide learning resources to those who are not native English speakers.

Our English Language Literacy Program is designed to help anyone who is looking to learn or improve their skills in English comprehension and usage. Our small and personal classroom environment is designed to meet multi-level needs and understanding of the English language.  Our twice weekly classes are taught by Certified ESL instructors with over twelve years of experience.

A STORY OF PERSEVERANCE: CATHERINE*

“In November of 2020, I had been in the US and Gainesville for 19 years, yet despite academic ESL classes and one on one tutoring at the library, I was still struggling to speak English. That month, I attended the Saturday evening Mass at Holy Faith Catholic Church. While sitting in the lobby, a pamphlet for English Language Literacy classes caught my attention. Shortly afterwards, I contacted the instructor Pat Rayos. My first class was on November 21, 2020.  I’m still attending classes, which I call ‘Happy hour,’ and I am learning a lot, but most importantly, I feel much more confident.”
