RURAL MOBILE OUTREACH

DISTRIBUTING FOOD TO THOSE LIVING IN RURAL AREAS IN OUR FIVE-COUNTY SERVICE AREA

Our Rural Mobile Outreach program provides basic necessities to those in rural areas who are struggling. Most often, these are children and the elderly. Without reliable transportation to visit us for assistance, these individuals and families would have no way to get the help they need. Instead, we bring support directly to them, providing food, toiletries, school supplies and more to keep them on their feet.

Are you or someone you know struggling to access nutritious food?

Do you have a hard time making it to our Gainesville Client Service center due to transportation issues, mobility limitations, or other challenges? We've got you covered! Our team is committed to ensuring that everyone in our community has access to the food they need to thrive.

We'll be making monthly food bag drops at these dates and locations:

1st Monday - Cross City at 1033 am -Fanning Springs at 11:00am

2nd Monday - Bell at 11:00am Chiefland at 12:00 noon

2nd Thursday - Williston at 10:30am

3rd Tuesday -Melrose at 10:30am - Hawthorne at 11:30am

3rd Friday - Micanopy at 10:30 am

4th Tuesday - Starke at 10:30 am

*Times and days subject to change during the hoildays.

These drops will provide a convenient and accessible way for individuals to receive the food they need, without having to travel to our center. So mark your calendars and spread the word to those who may benefit from this service!

A STORY OF GRATITUDE: SHARON*

“I am so grateful for the Catholic Charities Rural Mobile Outreach van that comes twice a month to our town. We have a lot of needy people in dire need of help whether it is food, water or personal care items, as it is too far for some of us to make it to Chiefland. The help is dearly needed here since we have contaminated water in our water system. The people here, mostly families, live in campsites and trailers. We appreciate any help and resources we can get.  I too need service and am grateful for the van to assist in bringing food and water twice a month along with personal care items, clothes and other various things. Thanks, and be Blessed and Encouraged.”
