Spirit of Charity Update: While the Gala Is Canceled, the Auction Lives On

Dear Friends and Supporters,


We are writing to share an important update regarding this year’s Spirit of Charity Gala. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the event.


This decision was not made lightly. As we consider the current state of our nation and the challenges facing so many families, it is clear that the needs within our community are greater than ever. At the same time, we are all feeling the impact of rising costs on everyday necessities, on services, and on the very programs designed to support those most in need. These realities have led us to pause and carefully reassess how we can be the best possible stewards of the resources entrusted to us.


Our goal has always been, and continues to be, maximizing the support we provide to the individuals and families we serve. With that in mind, we are moving forward with the ONLINE AUCTION. We are planning an alternative gathering that brings everyone together in a more scaled-down yet meaningful way, returning to our roots with a simpler meal centered on a powerful purpose: helping those most in need. This approach allows us to be mindful of expenses while still raising essential funds for the agency.


By reducing costs, we can ensure that more of every dollar raised goes directly toward serving our community during this critical time.


While the format may change, our mission does not. We remain deeply committed to our community and are incredibly grateful for your continued understanding, generosity, and support. We look forward to sharing more details soon and to gathering together in a way that reflects both the moment we are in and the compassion that defines this community.
